TULSI GABBARD VOTES
“PRESENT” ON IMPEACHMENT
Tulsi, who I admire in many ways, voted “Present” on impeachment. Here is what she said:
Stand with Tulsi: Politics should not be a zero-sum game
In certain ways, I thinks she blends a practical knowledge of America with an idealistic and valid understanding of its purpose as defined in the Declaration and the Constitution. But I did not think highly of her voting “Present” at the Impeachment vote. Still I welcome the fact she tried to explain it.
The main defense of her position is that American politics is now a “zero sum” game between two opposing parties. And the end product of that game is that people get hurt and nothing gets done. She has opted out of that process. Here in the following video she explains her resistance to the impeachment proceeding followed by a short negative editorial comment by the Mainstream News.

I don’t care much for the tone of Brian Williams nor the depreciating comment of former Senator Clair McCaskill. I do not think that Tulsi doesn’t matter. I think she is very brave to actually stand up against those who wish to prosecute those endless wars that claim to seek regime change for humanitarian and democratic reasons while destroying our citizen rights at home. She is one of the few people running for office that I think resonates in the right way, in general, with true American values.
In respect of voting “Present” in the Impeachment vote, she indicates that although Trump was definitely involved in wrongdoing and that is why he is being impeached, the process is so partisan that she cannot go along with it. I beg to differ with her conclusion. Yes, the Democrats are partisan, but to me, they are obviously right about Trump’s using a foreign government to attack his chief political opponent and that he was willing to hold back a meeting at the White House and millions of dollars of military aid to the Ukraine to get his way. The Republicans try and say- well, he did send his aid without those quid pro quo little gifts, but, to me, it is obvious that he was trying to get what he wanted. But he got caught publicly and had to send the aid right away.
This kind of alliance-for profit instead of alliance for-country- is, indeed, dangerous- and has cost thousands of lives and billions of dollars and is, in effect destabilizing many countries through wars and sanctions. This motivation ripples through many and indirect actions of this Presidency- like the attacks on immigrants, the super war budgets, the deceptive descriptions of a thriving economy, the imprisonment of key whistleblowers, the profiting of business through the Presidency with many other dangerous actions and words, laced with countless potential Pinocchios, Partisan or not, the impeachment preceding may have awakened some of the electorate to what is really happening. And that would be a good thing.
Tulsi’s efforts, in my mind, are strategic. She is going, as she says, for the center, a place where dialogue and compromise can prevail. I truly doubt it- because many voters who stand against impeachment will see her action as self-serving and view with skepticism her willingness to stand up for what is truly wrong- Trump’s behavior.
But guess what- the people she is trying to get together- are strangely in agreement over certain things she is totally against. They are already there!
For instance, although most Democrats rail against interference in elections and violations of American law, where are they with the multiple on-going ways that Trump and his administration are now doing to interfere with the regimes of elected heads of other countries and trying to overthrow their citizens’ choice? Where are they? Often supporting it and/or doing nothing to stop it.
And isn’t it strange, in our own country, look how the Republicans and Democrats, often in high places, have tried to manipulate the elections here? Like the Republicans, partially due to Cambridge Analytica and Democrats through the DNC,with the Steele Dossier and the wrongful transmission of funds towards the Hillary Clinton campaign, have radically interfered in our elections.
So, Tulsi, since both sides collaborate on meddling in elections in this country and others- often with the intent by some to gain control over other countries’ resources and leaders- where is the center you are seeking? The collaboration, dialogue and negotiations with two groups, voted on by so many millions, want the same things – and basically want the same things for the sake of their donors.
To actually win the election, as unlikely as it might seem, you will need to change the actual mind-set of millions, not by going to the center- but by going into realms of thought and feeling that will dissolve the hypnosis and brainwashing that have engendered this strange murderous complicity with war for money and for power.
As for the second count of obstruction, we simply cannot accept that in our democracy. If we can keep it away from tarnishing our policies and elections, it is our duty to do so.
For those who have not seen it, here are some paradigms I have published yesterdaythat may shed some light on what might be needed.

Words matter, which is a current catch phrase now. And words can entrap and deceive people to saying and doing things that they previously would have thought unbelievable. So it is appropriate to highlight the concept of American Exceptionalism, the sociopathic paradigm – and its opposite, the planetary empowerment paradigm.
American Exceptionalism is a major driver of American domestic and foreign policy. This is touted to be the concept of America as the shining house on the hill, blessed as a working and benign democracy- whose citizens, though coming from diverse backgrounds- are highly blessed and entitled to the protection of not only their nation but of God Himself. That owing to these factors, the American economy is strong and the prosperity of American citizens is assured various rhetorical exercises, such as, currently, the significant upsurge of the stock market evidences that very exciting reality, the value of unemployment and GDP statistics, the great tax breaks promised the middle class and the new upcoming replacement for Obamacare.The basic idea is that everything is really working in the right way- and that to protect ourselves and the planet- we must lead militarily- and consider regime change in order to assist those citizens in foreign countries who long for democracy and who would love to share their resources through appropriate trade venues with a powerful, wealthy and benign country like the United States. And those countries can count on their citizens can realistically hope for that same wonderful freedom American citizens enjoy now.

THE REALITY
The United States foreign policy appears to be driven by an imperialistic economic agenda developed to provide enormous wealth to various corporate entities and to benefit the very elite upper class directly or indirectly benefited by this agenda. To this end, conflicts all over the planet have been started utilizing the rhetorical device of humanitarianism cloaked in part by, again, a rhetorical American Exceptionalism driver, presenting the United States as a benign defender of democracy anywhere. It should be noted, however, according to an ongoing domestic agenda, a great deal of our country’s human and citizen rights have been essentially diluted since 911 in the interests of protection against a dangerous and a rather sometimes terrorism with its enemies on this side of the political spectrum actually acting as perverse enemies on the one hand- but also used in proxy wars against other enemies of the United States. Further, whereas certain economic indicators are cited as well as the upsurge of the stock market, the reality is that the actions of the U.S. Central Banks are truly focused on creating massive debt, a bubble which may explode on a proportion never felt in world history, outdistancing the 2008 recession and the Great Depression.

PSYCHOLOGY OF THE SOCIOPATHIC PARADIGM
In this paradigm, the leader and followers may or may not “believe” in God or promulgate some kind of religious concept. But you can be sure that this concept of God, if it exists in their rhetoric or even their consciousness, radically deviates from a God that regards all men as having been created equal and entitled to human and citizen rights by that Reality. If they are purely atheistic or agnostic, this paradigm can be held equally as well- because this is also a radical deviation from the truth of human existence which is that the God they ignore exists and is totally related to truly liberated human consciousness. The bond that exists between them and their allies is the radical belief in their own superiority and can explain why the followers of the sociopathic paradigm can have rather strange bedfellows. They are not really bonded together by their spiritual or non-spiritual beliefs. They are bonded together by their sense of superiority. This form of American exceptionalism and its psychology why its followers can look at military advantage as a resource to pillage, destroy and apprehend whatever and whenever they want- breaking domestic and international law, destroying the planetary environment, killing innocent civilians by the tens of thousands, contemplating the use of weapons of mass destruction, utilizing false flags to start wars, providing humanistic narratives to justify their intrusion into foreign governments to lead to the acquisition of that country’s resources for themselves and their allies.

In this paradigm, the domestic reality of the American Republic is truly democratic. It is perfectly aligned with the equality clause in the Declaration. These two factors are among the pillars of true American Exceptionalism, which are dramatically promoted in the Constitution and the Declaration. Public financing of the electoral process is a key component along with very severe restrictions on the revolving door protocol, allowing an easy shift between working for government and the private sector. Citizens United has been overturned. Corporations are now longer considered persons. All laws and policies that restrict our basic freedoms have been removed. There is no more warrantless surveillance, unlimited detention, refusal of right to counsel, enhanced interrogation or torture, etc. Freedom of the press is restored without covert surveillance for political reasons. Whistleblowers who release date on crimes and other transgressions by government or companies will be protected. False flags will be considered to be major transgressions and disruptions of humane and responsible foreign policy. Regime change wars cloaking themselves in humanitarian propaganda will be totally illegal as well as any form of warfare initiated solely by the Executive except in the case of an immediate attack on American citizens or an armed aggression against the United States. International law and international treaties are respected with a righteously reorganized world government which can support and enforce laws created for the good of all humanity. Weapons of mass destruction have been outlawed after a sensible and protective policy of disarmament has been carried out.

The Planetary Empowerment Paradigm is quite different from the paradigm often spoken of as the One World Order. Planetary Empowerment demands governance active on all reasonable levels and reasonably separated from each other. The reason that domestic reality of the American Republic, which has incorporated both the original foundations of liberty as postulated by the Founding Fathers and as progressed through the centuries in the Constitution and American law, can be a basis for foreign policy is that these values are the ones we use to identify our truly best allies and the governments we will support best in trade, foreign aid and in military support. If a planetary government exists, which fully recognizes the independent sovereign of its nation state members, then join it and obey its rules- which must reject ethnic cleansing, genocide and oppression of its people, requiring perhaps international military intervention and, yes, regime change. . U.S. thinks of other sovereign nations as potential friends and neighbors. Export to them democratic government experience and expertise, if desired. Treaties made with partners will be sacrosanct. If there is agreed upon International Law such as security council resolutions at the United Nations, they will be agreed to and complied with. At this moment, the United States is in the process of violating multiple facets of international law as well as its own domestic rules preventing the military from engagement in other countries with Congressional oversight. Any possibility of false flags in current and past scenarios needs to be thoroughly investigated The use of drones for assassinations has a horrible record of killing innocent civilians as well as illegally penetrating other countries’ sovereignty. If there is to be a war against terror, it is unthinkable to use those same entities as surrogates. ere is a planetary mandate to stop true human rights violations, then join with other members to protect world citizens.

The psychology of the Planetary Empowerment Paradigm is most exemplified in those citizens who have their conscience fully intact, regardless of their spiritual identifications. Conscience, which is a mirroring of the Divine Matrix on another level, is the primary key to personal and collective empowerment. Still citizens who have firmly stepped on the real spiritual path and act carefully based on their guidance and discrimination with great awareness of the frailty of the human ego on the road to true enlightenment- are a precious commodity. For they know directly the Foundations of their world view. This elite cherishes those values but have evolved to man and women of action based on a type of knowing, of being in-spirit- rather than just being merely inspired by righteous values. They are self-actualized individual capable of bringing the capacity to manifest real and righteous dreams into the destiny of humankind. Although they are advocates of righteousness and can recognize the capacity of human beings to transgress, as rather explicitly indicated in this discussion, they are not motivated by hatred or revenge for they have the consciousness that all human beings, despite their disposition and behavior are, in their heart of hearts, blessed children of God. There is accountability and justice but it is best served by a backdrop of unconditional love. There are, of course, times when actions to protect others and oneself demand the use of physical action but this, too, despite the consequences to those who have transgressed, can be carried out with a sense of purpose, righteousness and necessity .
Here is a candidate for the Presidency, who has written and articulated the needs for this type of psychology for many, many years. She may not win but she is an articulate promoter of the spiritual need for a citizen to be both informed and spiritually enlightened.

GROUNDS FOR IMPEACHMENT
AND REMOVAL
The following are various categories of transgressions that I believe should be considered for impeachment and removal of the President but could also be used to expel Representatives or Senators for their positions. These categories do not explicitly refer to the current activities revolving around the impeachment of Donald Trump because each one would require extensive investigation and a Congress that puts the values of the Constitution and the Declaration first in their consciousness before self-serving personal and corporate agendas.
The following excerpt from Wikipedia summarizes the criteria for impeachment:
The Constitution limits grounds of impeachment to “Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors”.[2] The precise meaning of the phrase “high Crimes and Misdemeanors” is not defined in the Constitution itself.
The notion that only criminal conduct can constitute sufficient grounds for impeachment does not comport with either the views of the founders or with historical practice.[1] Alexander Hamilton, in Federalist 65, described impeachable offenses as arising from “the misconduct of public men, or in other words from the abuse or violation of some public trust.”[3] Such offenses were “political, as they relate chiefly to injuries done immediately to the society itself.”[3] According to this reasoning, impeachable conduct could include behavior that violates an official’s duty to the country, even if such conduct is not necessarily a prosecutable offense. Indeed, in the past both houses of Congress have given the phrase “high Crimes and Misdemeanors” a broad reading, finding that impeachable offenses need not be limited to criminal conduct.[4][1]
The purposes underlying the impeachment process also indicate that non-criminal activity may constitute sufficient grounds for impeachment.[1][5] The purpose of impeachment is not to inflict personal punishment for criminal activity. Instead, impeachment is a “remedial” tool; it serves to effectively “maintain constitutional government” by removing individuals unfit for office.[6][1] Grounds for impeachment include abuse of the particular powers of government office or a violation of the “public trust”—conduct that is unlikely to be barred via statute.[6][4][1]
“In drawing up articles of impeachment, the House has placed little emphasis on criminal conduct.[1] Less than one-third of the articles that the House have adopted have explicitly charged the violation of a criminal statute or used the word “criminal” or “crime” to describe the conduct alleged.[1] Officials have been impeached and removed for drunkenness, biased decision-making, or inducing parties to enter financial transactions, none of which is specifically criminal.[1] Two of the articles against President Andrew Johnson were based on rude speech that reflected badly on the office: President Johnson had made “harangues” criticizing the Congress and questioning its legislative authority, refusing to follow laws, and diverting funds allocated in an army appropriations act, each of which brought the presidency “into contempt, ridicule, and disgrace”.[7] A number of individuals have been impeached for behavior incompatible with the nature of the office they hold.[1] Some impeachments have addressed, at least in part, conduct before the individuals assumed their positions: for example, Article IV against Judge Thomas Porteous related to false statements to the FBI and Senate in connection with his nomination and confirmation to the court.[1]”
now going to list some of the impeachable and removable offenses that should have taken place. I am not alone in thinking that the two articles developed by the House Judiciary Committee are simply not enough. Ralph Nader has his own list and reasons for it.
